White House security doesn’t fool around when it comes to requiring guests to provide photo identification.

Ellen DeGeneres just found that out the hard way.
“They haven’t let me into the White House yet because I forgot my ID,” the comedian tweeted Tuesday afternoon from Lafayette Square. “Not joking.”
Well, how else can they make sure it’s really Ellen and not, say, Kate McKinnon from Saturday Night Live?

She finally got in about an hour later, just in time to do the mannequin challenge with some of the other attendees for this afternoon’s Presidential Medal of Freedom ceremony, which is Barack Obama’s last before leaving office.
