FBI has suddenly “found” scores of documents related to infamous tarmac meeting between Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch

“The FBI is out of control.”

That’s the pronouncement of Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, a legal watchdog organization that is trying to get to the bottom of Obama-era political corruption after learning that the FBI does have documents related to the infamous “tarmac meeting” last summer between former President Bill Clinton and then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

As you may recall, the meeting took place in the midst of the bureau’s criminal investigation into then-Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton over her use of a private, unsecured email server to mishandle top secret, sensitive intelligence information. It also took place in the midst of a heated presidential campaign in which, we later learned, the Obama administration was improperly surveilling and unmasking Team Trump officials.

As reported by The Daily Caller, the FBI has “found” 30 pages of documents that were related to the June 2016 tarmac meeting, despite the bureau’s earlier claims that no records regarding the meeting existed.

Lawyers with the bureau revealed the fact that documents existed after the FBI was hit with a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit by Judicial Watch:

The FBI had informed Judicial Watch last October that the bureau did not have any records related to the June 27, 2016, meeting between Clinton and Lynch. That encounter, which occurred on the tarmac at Phoenix’s airport, was significant because it took place while the Justice Department was investigating Hillary Clinton’s potential mishandling of classified information on her private email account.

Despite the fact that the bureau initially told Judicial Watch that no such meeting-related documents existed, the Justice Department, in response to a separate lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, revealed that some of its personnel had been in contact with the FBI regarding the Clinton-Lynch ‘coincidental’ happenstance.

In August, The Daily Caller reported, the DoJ gave up emails that showed officials exchanging electronic communications regarding the meeting. Also, on July 1, 2016, Caroline Pakomy, a Justice Department official, told her colleagues that “FBI is asking for guidance” on the controversial meeting.

After releasing those documents, the FBI further said that it had in its possession some additional records related to the meeting. Attorneys for the bureau told the watchdog group, “Upon further review, we subsequently determined potentially responsive documents may exist.”

Fitton called the FBI’s newest disclosure “stunning.”

“It is stunning that the FBI ‘found’ these Clinton-Lynch tarmac records only after we caught the agency hiding them in another lawsuit.

“Judicial Watch will continue to press for answers about the FBI’s document games in court. In the meantime, the FBI should stop the stonewall and release these new records immediately,” he added.

The FBI, which is now under the control of Trump-appointed Attorney General Jeff Sessions, has until Nov. 30 to hand over the documents. (Related: The NSA has all of Clinton’s “lost” emails… but James Comey rejected them in order to obstruct justice.)

Initially, reports claimed the meeting was just by chance. CNN, which has been extremely biased against Trump, covered it thusly:

Lynch and Bill Clinton met privately in Phoenix Monday after the two realized they were on the same tarmac, an aide to the former president said. The encounter took place ahead of the public release Tuesday morning of the House Benghazi Committee’s report on the 2012 attack on a U.S. consulate in Libya.

At the time, other reports said the two merely discussed grandkids and golf.

Trump, on the campaign trail, characterized the meeting as a sneak” in an interview with conservative talk show host Mike Gallagher. “You see a thing like this and, even in terms of judgment, how bad of judgment is it for him or for her to do this? Who would do this?”

Bill Clinton, that’s who — and officials from the corrupt Obama administration.

It will be interesting to see what the documents further reveal. Stay tuned.
