Former President Donald Trump is feeling more emboldened as the 2022 midterms approach and it appears as though Republicans are on a glide path to regaining control of at least the House, if not the Senate as well, thereby throwing a huge wrench in the deep state’s ongoing operation to destroy American sovereignty.
Specifically, during a rally over the weekend, Trump reversed the narrative on Democrats and accused the FBI of “colluding” with Russia during the 2016 election.
Since he won the GOP nomination that year, Trump has routinely denied that he or his campaign was working in cahoots with Moscow — that the narrative was fabricated by the left-wing deep state that seeks total control over the country. A number of subsequent investigations into ‘Trump-Russia collusion,’ one of them carried out by a former FBI director, Robert Mueller, found no evidence of said collusion, but of course, Mueller wouldn’t find any because none existed. His investigation, as well as nonstop ‘leaks’ by the intelligence community to a compliant media of information that also turned out to be false, was just a head-fake and designed to keep Trump off-balance so it was more difficult for him to implement his “America first” agenda.
Since those investigations, many in the far-left media have continued to falsely accuse or insinuate Trump-Russia collusion, but during a rally in Ohio in recent days, Trump went on the offense, noting special counsel John Durham’s probe into the origins of the Russian collusion investigation.
Trump noted that last week, Durham’s team said in a court filing that Igor Danchenko, likely the primary source of the discredited “Steele Dossier” containing wild accusations against Trump was later made a paid informant of the FBI. Currently, Danchenko is facing five counts of lying to the FBI; he’ll either become a scapegoat for the deep state to save the FBI and 2016 Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton — who financed the dossier — or he’ll be acquitted by a friendly jury in D.C.
“I think that sounds like a slightly Russian name,” Trump said during the Ohio event. “The foreign national fabricated some of the most ridiculous smears and lies in the phony Steele dossier. It was all phony.”
He added: “How would you like to be me and go home and explain that one to my wife (Melania Trump)? Darling, it wasn’t true. I swear it wasn’t … it was all phony.”
“Man, what a country we have,” Trump told rally attendees. “We’ve got to fix our country. It’s so sad.”
The Epoch Times noted further:
According to a recent court filing, Danchenko was made a paid FBI confidential informant in March 2017 and remained as such until October 2020. The FBI declined to comment, referring The Epoch Times to the Department of Justice. The department did not respond to a query.
In 2016, Danchenko was paid by Steele to collect information on Trump, who was then a presidential candidate, and Steele was in turn hired by opposition research firm Fusion GPS. Fusion GPS, meanwhile, was being paid by the Democratic National Committee and Clinton, who was then the opponent of Trump.
Danchenko, was a paid “confidential human source in the investigation of” Trump’s campaign, though the FBI “had prior concerns that the businessman was tied to Moscow’s intelligence services,” Just the News’ John Solomon reported.
Durham, in his filing, convinced the federal judge overseeing the case “to unseal a motion revealing that Danchenko, the primary source of the now-discredited Steele dossier, was paid by the FBI as a confidential human source for more than three years until the fall of 2020 when he was terminated for lying to agents.”
“In March 2017, the FBI signed the defendant up as a paid confidential human source of the FBI,” Durham’s unsealed court filing said, linking the bureau and the informant for the first time. “The FBI terminated its source relationship with the defendant in October 2020. As alleged in further detail below, the defendant lied to FBI agents during several of these interviews.”
Trump wants to run again, but he’ll have another uphill battle against the deep state.
